Sapere Collection Vintage and Antique Rugs is curated by avid learner and collector, Kelly Housholder. Sapere's studio is open by appointment only in Birmingham, AL and ships throughout the US (complimentary!)

Kelly created a 13 week educational newsletter that you can sign up for, here. Each week offers a deep dive into a particular rug, or rug related topic. There's no coupons, no sales, just education :) 

Sapere has an in-house collection of vintage and antique pieces which are available for purchase online.

If you're shopping from afar - all shipping to you is free! I offer a 3 day return policy so that you can try the rug in your space and return it via mail if it isn't 'the one!'

If you're local, this collection can be a jumping off point for finding your perfect piece -- you can feel the different piles, textures, lengths and see the plant and vegetable dyes up close. I love in-home appointments! You can either take home something from my in-house collection for up to 3 days to try it in your own space and return it for a full refund if it doesn't work, or I can get started sourcing the perfect rug for your space.

Sourcing - How I work

I've developed relationships with knowledgable and well curated sources within the US so that I can have thousands upon thousands of rugs at my fingertips at any time. I take on sourcing projects for both designers and clients. Let me know what size and style of rug you're looking for and I'll head to my sources to find something just for your project. 

All phone consultations and appointments are complimentary – we’ll discuss your space, your aesthetic and budget. After I have a sense of what you’re seeking, I’ll get to work sourcing the perfect piece!
