It's such a treat to think about the weaver and the decisions they were making as they made each knot. Walter B Denny's words in How To Read Islamic Carpets, says "... a close reading of the design tells us a great deal about the weaver's process as she confronted both the limits and the potential of her medium, improvising a corner here, adjusting the height.. there.."
This is an Antique Bahktiari with a beautiful low pile, fine knotting. In wonderful condition with a few areas of wear (see closeups & videos).
