This Lilian is a such a deep color! 

This Lilian rug was woven in the Persian village of Lilian in the 1930s by Armenians who lived there at the time. This piece has a natural wear pattern from foot traffic over the years - it’s down to the foundation in a few areas. Full of life and character!

Lilian rugs are incredibly special because this village of Lilian is no longer inhabited by the Armenians who left in mid 20th century for larger cities. No more Lilian rugs will ever be made. They are pieces of history that are exquisite and represent a finite period of time in Lilian.
