Bidjar rugs are one of the most durable and dense antique rugs due to the way they were made! This one has a wonderful example of abrash - the color change you see in the rug’s field, or background. This is due to the wool being dyed in different batches! Each batch varied one to the next using homemade dye recipes of plants and insects.
