This much denim blue is a rare find in these old Persian rugs! This rug looks similar to what Americans call a Heriz rug, but the corner design makes it uniquely a Bakhshayesh as this corner design is common to that area. Bakhshayesh is a mountainous village in East Azerbaijan Province, located near the Heriz weaving district.
