This stunning Persian Mahal has spectacular diamond pattern. There are a few spots of wear around the diamond. Most of the rug is in pristine condition.
When you invest in a Persian rug, you are investing in a piece of history! Persian Mahal rugs get their name from the village where the rugs originated - a village called Mahallat. Mahal carpets were often woven by an entire family (!!!!) - using coarser knotting than other rugs from this area. They tend to have a thicker pile and beautifully intricate designs like other tribal rugs from this period.
This rug was created by an entire family in the village of Mahallat. How incredibly special!
